A Houthi leader was killed and another wounded, during a special operation of the joint forces in the Maqbna district in Taiz governorate, western Yemen.

Today, Monday, media sources said that a Houthi leader was killed along with a number of militia members, and others were wounded, as a result of a precise intelligence operation.

The sources indicated that the intelligence information led to the monitoring of the militia supervisor in the Maqbna district of Taiz governorate, called Abed Hagwan, accompanied by another leader named Abdul Rahman Ahmed Abdul Salam al-Jarzi, during a reconnaissance mission in the outskirts of the Maqbna district of Taiz governorate from the direction of the Hays district in Hodeidah.

The sources confirmed that the artillery of the joint forces targeted the militia leader “Hagwan” with a guided missile, which resulted in his death, along with the so-called Mushtaq Ahmed Ibn Ahmed and a number of their members, while Abdul Rahman Al-Jarzi, Hagwan’s brother and a number of others were seriously injured.

This coincides with a significant progress of the joint forces in Taiz governorate, following their withdrawal from Hodeidah governorate recently.
