The Yemeni army and tribes regain the initiative south of Marib, amid a major retreat by the Houthis

Today, Monday, field sources reported that the heroes of the Yemeni army, backed by tribesmen and fighters of the Arab coalition that support legitimacy, were able to regain the initiative south of Marib Governorate, amid the retreat of the Houthi rebels.

The sources told “The Yemeni Scene” that the army and tribes launched extensive and intense attacks on the Houthi militia’s sites in the Al-Kharsha area, in the right of the Juba district, and regained a number of sites there, amid a retreat by the militia, after it incurred dozens of deaths and injuries.

The sources indicated that the battles coincided with the army artillery targeting militia reinforcements on the same front, which led to the destruction of two kits and the killing of all those on board.

The sources indicated that the battles spread to the fronts in Wadi Dhanna, after failed attacks by the militia from its positions in the two districts of Al-Juba, affiliated to the Marib governorate, and from the direction of Bani Dabyan, affiliated to the Sana’a governorate.

The army forces had thwarted several attacks by the Houthi rebels on the fronts of Wadi Halhlan, Al-Jufra, and Mas, in the Madghal district, northwest of the governorate.

On the western front of the governorate, violent confrontations took place in several locations on the Al-Kasara and Al-Mashjah fronts, after intense attacks by the militia.

The battles coincided with a series of coalition air raids targeting Houthi sites and mechanisms in various areas south, west and northwest of the governorate. The Houthi militia incurred heavy losses in equipment and lives.
