The Yemeni army forces, backed by the popular resistance and the fighters of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy, are waging continuous battles to defeat the Houthi militia on the various fronts of fighting in the south and west of Marib Governorate.
A military source told the Armed Forces Media Center that the heroes of the army and the resistance managed during the past hours to defeat the Houthi militia from several locations on the Harib front during a surprise attack.
Simultaneously, the army forces launched intense shelling with bullets and artillery targeting militia sites and gatherings in separate locations on the Bihan front, causing great human and material losses.
On the al-Juba front, the army artillery launched a focused bombardment targeting fixed and mobile enemy sites and gatherings in separate areas, resulting in dozens of militia members being killed or wounded, in addition to other losses in equipment.
On the Sarwah front, west of Marib, the heroes of the army and the resistance broke an attack by the Houthi militia on a military site and forced it to retreat and flee after incurring losses in equipment and lives.
The escalation of the Houthi rebels towards Marib has continued since last February, despite international and regional calls to stop the fighting immediately.
