The Minister of Interior of the recognized Yemeni government, Major General Ibrahim Haidan, said today, Thursday, that “what is required of the UAE and the Arab coalition is to open Aden airport and restore the port to work.”
He said in an interview conducted by the Russian “Sputnik” agency, which was followed by “The Yemeni Scene,” that “Aden’s airport and port are suspended under the control of the Southern Transitional Council, which is under the order of the Emirates.”
He accused the Arab coalition of obstructing the export of oil and gas, which affects the state’s income, and admitted that it was “a problem for them with the Arab coalition.”
He pointed out that “the Houthi militia supports terrorism, did nothing, and did not fight al-Qaeda, but rather fought the Yemeni army in Ma’rib.”
He added, “When the Houthi militia began advancing in Al-Bayda, the so-called al-Qaeda did not even resist, and withdrew as if there was direct coordination.”
This comes amid the continued escalation of the Houthi rebels towards Marib since last February.
