During the opening of the third scientific symposium on space sciences and remote sensing, which was held at the Ministry of Communications, and was followed by “the Yemeni scene”, Muhammad Ali Al-Houthi, a member of the so-called Supreme Politician, urged “the establishment of a special college for space science engineering, and the development of education curricula and policy in the basic stages and interest.” creative students” This comes in light of the interruption of salaries for years due to the insistence and intransigence of the Houthi rebels to starve Yemenis.
He stated that space science reveals facts that were absent from humanity and that must be taken care of.
He valued the participation of the Arab Republic of Egypt, in the symposium represented by the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences, calling for more openness to the Yemeni people.
While the head of the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences in Egypt, Dr. Muhammad Bayoumi Zahran, stressed Egypt’s keenness to transfer its expertise in space sciences to Yemen.
He pointed out that the National Authority for Remote Sensing in Egypt has interests in agriculture, water, engineering applications, space sciences, aerial photography and meteorology to achieve sustainable development.
Al-Houthi and a number of officials from their unrecognized government visited the planetarium that simulates celestial bodies and outer space, and what they called innovations and models for astronomy, space sciences and agriculture, including a smart mobile robot using artificial intelligence algorithms.
