Urgent: Al-Houthi announces the response to Saudi Arabia’s decision to expel the Lebanese ambassador and stop all imports to the Kingdom

Muhammad Ali al-Houthi, head of the Houthi militia’s Revolutionary Committee, called the (unrecognized) Houthi militia government to an emergency meeting to respond to Saudi Arabia’s decision to stop all Lebanese imports into the Kingdom and to leave Lebanon’s ambassador to the Kingdom within the next 48 hours.

Al-Houthi said in a tweet via Twitter, which was monitored by the “Yemeni scene”, that if Saudi Arabia banned Lebanon’s products for the sake of the position of Minister of Information George Qardahi, he would call the Houthi militia government to an emergency meeting and issue a decision banning Saudi products from entering Yemen.

Saudi Arabia announced, earlier, the recall of its ambassador to the Lebanese Republic for consultations, and the departure of the Lebanese ambassador to the Kingdom within the next 48 hours.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the insulting statements to the Kingdom issued by the Lebanese Minister of Information, George Kordahi, represent a new cycle of reprehensible and rejected positions issued by Lebanese officials towards the Kingdom and its policies, in addition to the slanderous statements and the reversal and falsification of facts.

George Qardahi, with his statements about the war in Yemen, caused a sensation, after saying that the Houthi militia was facing external aggression, in reference to the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia.

While the Lebanese government expressed its rejection of his words, stressing that “it does not express its official position at all, especially with regard to the Yemeni issue and Lebanon’s relations with its Arab brothers.”
