Urgent: Sudan expels British ambassador from its lands

Arab media reported tense diplomatic relations between Sudan and Britain.
The Saudi newspaper, Al-Sharq, said that the Sudanese authorities had given the British ambassador in Khartoum, Giles Lever, 21 days to leave the country.

The British ambassador had said that his country “strongly condemns” the measures taken by the army in Sudan, adding that “these unilateral measures are illegal,” and called for “the release of all political detainees,” and spoke of the “ill-treatment of some of them.”
