Today, Friday, the Meteorological Center issued urgent warnings of strong and very heavy flooding rains in most Yemeni governorates.
The National Center of Yemeni Meteorology, in its forecast of the weather during the next 24 hours, which was reviewed by the “Yemeni Scene”, warned all citizens of heavy rains and torrential flows in reefs and valleys, as well as thunderstorms in several governorates from Lahj in the south to Saada in the north, and to take the necessary precautions To protect their safety and the safety of their property.
He advised the need to stay away and not to cross the corridors and streams of torrential rain, to take shelter from thunderstorms during and after rain, to shelter animals, bees and birds, to take advantage of the falling water, and to inspect the houses, notably the old mud ones, as well as the water drainage networks in the cities.
Rains of varying intensity, accompanied by thunderstorms, are expected in the mountainous governorates from Lahj in the south to Saada in the north, as well as the interior hills, and it may be heavier in the governorates (Hadhramaut, Shabwa, Abyan, Lahj, Taiz, Ibb, Al Dhale’ and Raymah).
He pointed out that rain, some of which is heavy, may be accompanied by thunder sometimes on the southern and western coasts and the corresponding interior areas, and it will be between medium and light on the eastern coasts, with the possibility of sporadic rain, especially in the deserts (Al-Jawf, Marib, Shabwah and Hadramout), as well as the Socotra archipelago.
Weather centers warned of heavy rain today, Friday, in most of the Yemeni governorates, and strong floods in the districts of the coastal governorates of Hajjah and Hodeidah, under the influence of Hurricane “Shaheen”.
Scattered rain fell on most mountainous areas and heights on Friday.
