US-European Quartet meeting to advance the peace process in Yemen


Today, Sunday, the US envoy to Yemen, Tim Lenderking, held joint talks with three European officials, which included ways to bring peace to Yemen and the latest developments in the country; According to the European Union Mission to Yemen, on its official account on the micro-blogging site “Twitter”, it was monitored by “The Yemeni Scene”.

She pointed out that the meeting included Marion Lalizi, the acting EU ambassador to Yemen, the German ambassador in the country Hubert Jaeger, the Dutch ambassador Peter Derek Hof, in addition to the US envoy Tim Lenderking.

She noted that “during the meeting, they discussed ways to support the UN-led peace process in the country, in addition to tangible measures to improve the situation in Yemen.”

Lenderking’s efforts focus on reviving a UN peace plan, intensifying immediate relief operations for the Yemeni people, and on ways to advance the UN-led peace process.
