Masked elements in Houthi militia-controlled areas carried out the first assassination crime against a sheikh of Ibb, just two days after the joint forces – the Republican Guards, the Giants Brigades and the Tihama Resistance Brigades – called for the sheikhs to join the legitimate forces to get rid of the militia with joint advances on the outskirts of the province.
Local sources told the Yemeni scene today, Friday, that masked elements – believed to be Houthis – assassinated the prominent tribal sheikh, Ahmed Saeed Al-Maqra’i, in the Al-Sahoul area in Ibb Governorate, central Yemen, which is under the control of the Houthi militia.
The sources added that the tribal sheikh al-Maqari was assassinated yesterday evening, in conjunction with the joint forces’ calls for the sheikhs of Ibb Governorate to stand with them against the Houthi militia usurping the republican regime.
The sources confirmed that the Houthis had earlier accused Sheikh Al-Muqari of not being serious in recruiting with them, a charge the militia practices against all the sheikhs who differ with it ideologically and ideologically.
The Houthi leaders warned the sheikhs of the three districts of Al-Adeen (Hazm Al-Adeen, Al-Adeen, and Al-Adeen Branch) in addition to the Al-Qafr District in Ibb Governorate, before yesterday, against going out against the Houthi militia with the arrival of the National Resistance Forces – the Republic’s Guards, the Giants’ Forces, and the Tihama Brigades on the outskirts of the governorate from the west And adjacent to the districts of Jabal Ras and Hays, which were liberated by the joint forces in Al-Hodeidah Governorate.
The sources added that the Houthi threats focused on the sheikhs of the Al-Aden and Al-Qefar tribes loyal to the General People’s Congress and the sheikhs affiliated with the Islah Party and the Salafis.
The militia fears the fall of the Al-Aden districts, which is the main gateway to the entry of Ibb governorate and the closest to the legitimate forces, which contains a human stock that is hostile to the Houthis intellectually and ideologically. By the Houthis by replacing their sectarian elements.
