Yemeni journalist wins international award

A Yemeni journalist won an international award for her participation in producing a report on the suffering of the victims of Houthi militia snipers in Taiz Governorate (southwest of the country).
Media sources said that the BBC’s English news channel, Yemeni journalist Suad Al-Salahi, won the French Polo Prize for War Correspondents for her participation in the report “Elite Snipers in Yemen”.
Al-Salahi participated in the report as part of a team of four foreign correspondents led by the well-known British journalist Orla Guren.

According to the sources, the influential report recounts the suffering of Yemeni children in the city of Taiz, who the government coalition says have become a constant target of Houthi snipers in the besieged city for years.
